Beef and Bean Soft Tacos

This Beef and Bean Soft Taco recipe is a simple dump and go, busy-day Crockpot meal. Throw it together before Soccer and come home to a Hot Meal and Happy People. Because it's slow cooking in delicious broth you can use less expensive cuts of beef saving your bottom line and still having a tender steak taco. *Lime and Cilantro always add that extra kick!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 15 oz. can Beef Broth
  • 1.5 tsp Chili Powder
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 2 Lbs Steak – Thinly Sliced (choose an inexpensive cut like flank or round steak)
  • 1.5 cups Salsa – Chunky
  • 1 15 oz. can Black Beans – Drained & Rinsed
  • 1/2 cup Fresh Cilantro OR Parsley
  • 1 4 oz. can Green Chiles Diced
  • Flour Tortillas
  • Topping Ideas : Sour Cream Grated Cheddar Cheese, Chopped Onion, Lime Wedges, Jalepeno diced

Instructions
 

  • Mix together inside Crock Pot Chili Powder, Onion Powder, Garlic Powder and Beef Broth.
  • Add thinly sliced beef and stir to coat with seasoning and broth
  • Cover with lid and cook for 3-4 on low or until thoroughly cooked. ( Time varies based on thickness of steak slices and temp of crockpot.)
  • When meat is cook thoroughly, remove to large bowl.
  • Carefully remove 2/3 of liquid inside crockpot and return cooked steak slices to hot broth.
  • Turn Temperature to HIGH.
  • Carefully add 1 cup chunky salsa, rinsed black beans and chiles, stir and allow to continue cooking for an additional 15 minutes.
  • When contents of Crockpot are heated well, sprinkle with fresh cilantro or parsley and you are ready to serve!
  • Serve on warmed tortillas with your favorite toppings.
