Not so Boring Turkey Burgers

Don't let the Turkey in these Turkey Burger fool you into thinking Dry Boring Burger. No way! These are super moist, just a touch smokey and always delicious.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Lb Ground Turkey We like the taste of the 99% fat free ground turkey better than the 97%.
  • 1.5 cups Shredded Zucchini
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 1/3 cup Diced Red Onion
  • 1/3 cup Bacon Bits
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1.5 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Basil – Dried
  • 1/2 tsp Thyme – Thyme
  • 1/4 tsp Liquid Smoke
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper
  • Hamburger Buns – Onion, Potato or Sesame Seed

Toppings & Extras

  • Blue Cheese Diced Jalepenos, Fresh Dill Sprigs, Romaine Lettuce Leafs, BBQ sauce, Ketchup, Mayo, Mustard, Tomato Slices, Pickles

Instructions
 

  • Combine Turkey, Shredded Zucchini, Shredded Cheese, Diced Onion, Bacon Bits, Garlic/Onion/ Powders, Basil and Thyme and liquid smoke together.
  • Shape into patties (you choose size)
  • Heat Cast Iron or Non-Stick Pan to medium heat.
  • Add Olive or Coconut Oil to pan to lightly coat
  • Cook burger patties, flipping to cook top side after approx 4 minutes. Make certain patties are lightly browned and no longer pink on the inside.
  • Serve on your Bun of Choice with desired toppings.
